An RTD Rider for RTD

Jack Rosenthal for RTD

I ride RTD every day and I'm running for the RTD Board of Directors in District O to make our transit network fast, reliable, and accessible to everyone.

Boulder County deserves representation that understands the daily realities of public transportation and the technical challenges that come with improving it. As an every day RTD rider with a background in data analysis, I bring the experience and expertise to transform our system.

My Top 3 Priorities

Rendering of the CoCo passenger train
Build the Train to Boulder, Louisville, and Longmont by 2029

Boulder County voters approved FasTracks in 2004 with the promise of rail service to Boulder and Longmont. Twenty years later, we're still waiting. CoCo is bringing starter rail service to Boulder, Louisville, and Longmont by 2029, and I'll fight to keep it on track.

Increase Service for High-Volume Events

Events like the Bolder Boulder, Broncos games, and the upcoming Sundance Film Festival overwhelm RTD's regular schedule. We need dedicated event service that gets people where they're going and home again, not a system that buckles when Boulder County needs it most.

Increase Ridership

Growing ridership means making transit easier to use and addressing the barriers that keep people away, from safety concerns to gaps in service. Ridership growth should be RTD's core measure of success, not an afterthought to budget cuts.

Union Endorsed

“Jack understands that effective public transit starts with unionized labor. As a daily RTD rider, he sees firsthand how the dedication and professionalism of our transit workers keeps people moving. Jack will advocate for the resources, staffing levels, and safety protections our operators and mechanics need, and we trust him to stand with ATU 1001.”

Lance Longenbohn, President, ATU Local 1001
Boulder Progressives

“Boulder Progressives is proud to endorse Jack Rosenthal for RTD District O. As a daily rider and data analyst, he knows this system inside and out and exactly what it will take to fix it. He is not running to maintain the status quo. He is running to bring bold, innovative reforms to an agency that has been letting Boulder County down for decades. We believe Jack has the vision and the drive to transform RTD into the frequent, reliable, equitable transit network our community deserves.”
