Jack Rosenthal for RTD

Let's transform RTD together

I'm running for the RTD Board of Directors in District O to make our transit network fast, reliable, and accessible to everyone.

Boulder County deserves representation that understands both the technical challenges and daily realities of public transportation. As an every day RTD rider and someone who applies data analysis skills to understand transit performance, I bring the experience and expertise needed to transform our system.

RTD faces serious challenges...

Stagnating Ridership
Stagnating Ridership

RTD ridership has struggled to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Before 2020, RTD served 9 million annual boardings. As of April 2025, we're down to just 5.5 million annual boardings. At our current rate, it will take 738 years for ridership to recover to 2019 levels.

FasTracks Promise
Unfulfilled FasTracks Promises

Boulder County voters approved FasTracks in 2004 with the promise of rail service to Boulder and Longmont. Twenty years later, Boulder County taxpayers have paid over $600M for FasTracks, and yet, we're still waiting for Northwest Rail.

Budget Threats
Federal Budget Threats

The Trump administration has proposed significant cuts to federal transit funding. RTD must prepare for potential federal budget reductions by improving efficiency, growing ridership, and finding innovative funding solutions to maintain service levels.

Together, we can overcome these challenges

These challenges require board members who understand both the technical complexities and daily realities of public transportation. With data-driven solutions and authentic rider experience, we can rebuild RTD into the system our community deserves.

Every donation matters, no matter how big or small. Your support helps fund a grassroots campaign focused on transforming RTD to meet the needs of Boulder County.

Union Endorsed

"Jack understands that effective public transit starts with unionized labor. As a daily RTD rider, he sees firsthand how the dedication and professionalism of our transit workers keeps people moving. Jack will advocate for the resources, staffing levels, and safety protections our operators and mechanics need, and we trust him to stand with ATU 1001."
